Typical is the median of observed upcoming trips on the route. When enough data exists, we compare similar trip lengths and the same nonstop/connecting category. Otherwise the broader comparison is labeled. It is not a previous selling price or a prediction.
How is a price drop different?
A price drop compares a newly observed fare with the previous observation for the same cities and travel dates. A fare below typical compares different upcoming trips. Neither comparison guarantees a saving at checkout.
